In line with our culture of care, we provide helpful resources to support the ongoing mental health and wellbeing of our employees and contractors, and their family members.  The resources on this page provide quick access to a range of mental health and wellbeing information for work and life. Each can be used as a preventative or support tool to guide individuals through a specific issue, transition period, or to improve general wellbeing.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

We continue to be concerned about the spread and impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease globally.

We recognise the added pressure, and increased stress and anxiety that this has presented at work and in our daily lives, creating an ‘always on’ mindset.

We’ve updated some of our resources in a practical way to help our employees, contractors and their families through this difficult period.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

BHP’s Employee Assistance Program is a safe, confidential and free source of support for employees, including their immediate family members, seeking help, advice or simply someone to talk to. Click below for local contact details. The provider will ask for your name, company and where you are based (if you are a family member of a BHP employee, you’ll be asked to provide their name, company and location).

Mental Wellness Roadmap

BHP has developed a six week Mental Wellness Roadmap Campaign.

The campaign aims to provide you with mental health and wellbeing tools to navigate the recent challenging times faced by BHP, the wider community and the world, associated with COVID-19.

Tackling mental health is as important as looking after your physical health and the weekly roadmaps have daily tips and exercises to improve your overall mental health and wellbeing, and that of those around you.

Importantly, the resource is available through the website to allow our employees, contractors and their family to utilise the suite of material across the six week campaign.
