The Broadmeadow coal mine is a part of BMA, the 50:50 joint venture between BHP and Mitsubishi Development.Broadmeadow is located in Queensland's Bowen Basin on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people, 34 kilometers north of Moranbah. It is a longwall underground coal operation. Coal is processed jointly with coal from the Goonyella Riverside open cut operation.
