Understanding our recruitment process

Our recruitment processes are designed to help us to learn more about you and for you to learn more about us, the function and the role you have applied for.

Depending on the type of role that you have applied for, you may be invited to participate in either a standard resourcing process or be invited to attend an engagement centre.

What is a standard resourcing process?

During a standard resourcing process, you may be required to undertake a series of assessments which may include:

  • Screening interview (usually over the telephone)
  • Online psychometric and or ability testing
  • Behavioural-based formal interview (either face-to-face or via video conference)

What is an engagement centre?

An engagement centre is a session where you may be required to undertake the following activities:

  • A series of one-on-one face-to-face interviews with a BHP team member
  • A group activity
  • A small group question and answer session

Engagement centres normally run for approximately four hours and are a great way for you to learn about BHP and interact with members of our team. 


Finding the role for you

Our Global Asset services team in Manila supports processes across BHP’s global functions.

Our centre operates across multiple shifts (day shift, afternoon shift and night shift) and will be bi-lingual (English and Spanish).

We are looking for people to help us set new global standards of excellence, finding ways to improve our performance, drive productivity ensuring we always maintain a focus on safety.
