BHP Billiton has confirmed a A$1 million donation to the Queensland Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal to assist with Queensland flood relief efforts.

This assistance is in addition to the $300,000 donation provided by BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) to the Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal and Emerald and Blackwater communities, as well as emergency assistance to these communities provided by BMA's workforce.

On top of the $A1 million donation, BHP Billiton will match dollar for dollar all employee donations made through the company's Matched Giving Program.
