Gymnastics grant nails the landing in Newman

The Newman Gymnastics Club has received a new upgrade thanks to a $20,000 BHP community grant.

The $20,000 grant allowed them to completely cover their floor space with safety mats; a significant improvement that will make a positive impact for the club and to the safety of their athletes and coach.

Peta Baer from the Newman Gymnastics Club said, "Thank you BHP for providing more opportunities for our clubs to grow and our kids to stay active."

BHP’s WA Community Grants program supports community, environmental and economic initiatives to make the places our employees and their families call home a better place to live and work.

Grants of up to $20,000 AUD are available to support incorporated, not-for-profit organisations and educational institutions in the Pilbara. Applications in Port Hedland and Newman are open year-round.
