Carrapateena produces copper concentrate and is one of the largest mining projects in South Australia in the last decade.

Carrapateena at a glance

Located 472 kilometers north-west of Adelaide, South Australia, Carrapateena is part of our Minerals Australia operations. It is located on the traditional land of the Kokatha people.
2019 Construction of the mine was completed in 2019.
~4.25Mtpa The mine has a production rate of ~4.25Mtpa.
2023 We took ownership of the mine in 2023.

Ore at Carrapateena  is collected from underground mine areas and processed through conventional crushing, grinding and flotation methods.
