With around 123,000 employees and contractors worldwide, the Company makes a significant contribution to the Australian economy – last year this equated to around A$27 billion including payments to suppliers, wages and employee benefits, dividends, taxes and royalties.

Last financial year we paid more than US$8 billion in taxes and royalties in Australia delivering an effective tax rate of more than 45 per cent.
