Today marks the start of my role as CEO of BHP. 

In my 27 years at this company, in different countries and across all our commodities, I have never been more excited about our future. 

BHP is in tremendous shape. 

We have the people and the portfolio to deliver more of what the world needs – safely, productively and responsibly. 

Best of all, we still have so much more opportunity ahead of us. 

Together, we can build the resource projects the world needs and win the next decade. 

Accelerating our performance to the limit. 

Delivering programmatic growth in copper and potash and replenishing our resource base. 

And strengthening our foundations in safety, social value and talent development. 

I’m confident BHP’s best chapter is ahead of us, and I’m excited about what we will accomplish together.
