Over 150 graduates enter a career in mining with over 190 graduates to join next year.

During February, BHP welcomed over 150 Graduates across its global operations spanning Australia and Chile with graduates in the United States, Canada and Singapore set to join the company later this year.  BHP are looking forward to creating additional opportunities for over 190 graduates in our 2024 cohort with applications now open for Australian opportunities and closing on the 10th of April 2023.
 
This years graduates across Australia and Chile completed their one week induction, before heading to the respective sites and offices to continue their graduate experience. The Graduate Program provides a pathway into BHP’s most strategically important technical and functional roles including; mining engineering, metallurgy, geoscience, mechatronics and technology. 
 
The 24-month program offers graduates a wealth of career pathways and our Graduate Program provides the professional development, experience and exposure graduates need to take their careers to the next level. This includes formal workshops and coached activities as well as 2-4 job rotations through a number of business areas and the opportunity to build strong relationships and develop a broad understanding of the business.
