BHP has been recognised as one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers for 2026, reflecting sustained progress in building an inclusive workplace supported by deliberate actions, strong leadership commitment and employee‑led initiatives.

Creating an inclusive and diverse workforce is central to BHP’s strategy to attract, retain and enable people to perform at their best. Across Canada, BHP employs people from a wide range of backgrounds across our potash and corporate operations, including at the Jansen project and offices in Saskatoon. In a highly competitive labour market, BHP has focused on embedding inclusion and diversity into everyday ways of working ‒ moving beyond policy toward practical, lived experiences that support people to feel respected, access opportunities and contribute fully. This approach also strengthens workforce participation, supports local employment pathways and contributes to long-term community and business resilience.

On 24 February 2026, Mediacorp Canada named BHP as one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers, following an independent assessment through the annual Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. The recognition reflects a suite of deliberate actions across BHP’s Canadian operations, including progress toward workforce gender balance and targeted initiatives to support women, Indigenous peoples and other underrepresented groups. In 2025, BHP reached 40 per cent female representation across our global workforce, which Mediacorp described as a ‘significant milestone’.

Diversity and inclusion are critical enablers of performance, innovation and long‑term value creation at BHP. This recognition highlights the importance of sustained leadership commitment and employee participation in creating inclusive workplaces, particularly as we continue to grow our Canadian operations. By embedding inclusion into workforce planning, facilities design, leadership accountability and everyday behaviours, we are strengthening our ability to attract diverse talent, build capability and foster a workplace culture where people can contribute fully.

The learnings from BHP Canada’s experience will continue to inform our approach across the business as BHP works to create and maintain inclusive, high‑performing workplaces globally.
