Community engagement ahead of site closure
On 1-3 May, Mt Arthur Coal joined more than 300 other exhibitors at the Hunter region’s largest agricultural event, Tocal Field Days.
Every year, Tocal Field Days attracts massive crowds interested in:
- seeing and experiencing the latest in AgTech,
- trying local food and wine,
- browsing through hundreds of local exhibitors, and;
- enjoying live music, entertainment and family fun activities.
For Mt Arthur Coal, this is a great opportunity to connect with the broader community about our 2030 closure and answer any questions.
Community members were interested to hear about our rehabilitation work, post-mining land use studies and how we are supporting our workforce in the lead up to closure.
