WA Nickel Community Fund
Supporting strong, liveable local communities during temporary suspension
BHP established the $20 million WA Nickel Community Fund to support communities where WA Nickel operates during the temporary suspension of operations.
The Community Fund is designed to help communities remain resilient, connected and economically strong, supporting initiatives that deliver lasting local benefits by:
- Supporting local jobs and sustainable enterprises
- Strengthening and diversifying local economies
- Improving community wellbeing, mental health and liveability
Funding is focused on initiatives that benefit the WA Nickel host communities of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Kambalda, Leinster, Leonora and Wiluna.
