BHP announced a C$1.9 million investment in partnership with the Government of Saskatchewan on 1 May 2026 to support the purchase of a new training facility for Carlton Trail College, expanding trades and workforce training opportunities in Humboldt and the surrounding region.

The investment will support the expansion of hands-on technical training to meet growing workforce demand across Saskatchewan. In recognition of BHP’s contribution, the new facility will be named the BHP Technical Training Centre.

This announcement builds on BHP’s long‑standing partnership with Carlton Trail College and the Government of Saskatchewan and reflects our broader commitment to strengthening skills development and workforce readiness in the province.

Through the Jansen Scholarship Program, BHP has awarded nearly C$1 million to more than 300 local students. BHP has also invested C$6 million in the BHP Potash Academy at Carlton Trail College in Humboldt, which is supported by operational funding from the Government of Saskatchewan.

This partnership demonstrates what is possible when industry, government, and education work together to grow training opportunities and workforce readiness. BHP, the Government of Saskatchewan, and Carlton Trail College share a commitment to aligning training with real workforce needs and delivering tangible results for students and employers.
