A wee chat amongst the pipes and plaid

As part of our community engagement program, Mt Arthur Coal attended the Aberdeen Highland Games on Saturday 4th July.

The Aberdeen Highland Games always draws a large crowd keen to celebrate and experience Scottish culture through a range of traditional music, dance, food, sport, activities and market stalls.

For Mt Arthur Coal, it’s an opportunity to connect with the community, answer questions and discuss the upcoming closure. There was a lot of interest in hearing about our rehabilitation work, post closure land use opportunities and how we’re supporting our workforce in the lead up to closure.
