BHP Mt Arthur Coal was proud to support and exhibit at Tocal Feld Days this year – the premier agricultural event in the Hunter.
The Transition and Closure team were on the ground talking to visitors about our closure plans for Mt Arthur Coal in 2030, the rehabilitation and demolition that is already underway and some of the opportunities for alternate mine land re-use.
“We are committed to safe and non-polluting land forms at closure, but we want to deliver more than that for this region,” said Liz Watts, Vice President NSW Energy Coal.
“We are thinking about how we go beyond our environmental responsibility and enable alternate mine land re-use outcomes that support future jobs for the region, tourism and a thriving community.”
