In the lead up to International Women’s Day 2022, we are honoured to share the stories and words of Indigenous women at BHP.
From mothers, and grandmothers as carers of families and communities, to engineers, electricians, business leaders, artists, activists, scientists and policy makers, Indigenous women bring invaluable knowledge, perspectives and skills to the table and continue to influence decisions, policies and outcomes that are better for everyone.
In this video, Dagne Pineda (Minerals Exploration, Peru), Nicole Araya (Maintenance, Escondida) and Maribel Chaile (Maintenance, Escondida) talk about the women that have shaped their lives and what this year’s IWD theme #BreaktheBias means to them.
Individually, we're all responsible for our own behaviours and actions - all day, every day. Collectively, we can #BreakTheBias.
