2013 The mine was opened in 2013.
450 We created 450 new jobs when the mine opened.
1 It takes around 770kg of met coal to make the steel used in one mid-sized car.

The total investment in the Daunia mine start-up was $US1.4 billion, and in 2020, we invested a further $100 million to introduce 34 autonomous trucks into the mine, resulting in contracts worth $35 million being awarded to local and Indigenous businesses. Deployment is expected to be completed by CY2022.

Metallurgical coal

Metallurgical coal (sometimes referred to as coking coal) is a naturally occurring sedimentary rock found within the Earth’s crust.

My favourite part of the day is sitting back and looking at what you’ve accomplished, like seeing perfect bunds or a perfectly graded floor.
