The Caval Ridge coal mine is a part of BMA, the 50:50 joint venture between BHP and Mitsubishi Development.Caval Ridge is located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin near the town of Moranbah on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people. Opened in 2014 and processes coal from the adjacent Peak Downs mine via an overland conveyor completed in 2018.
