BHP Billiton today announced that it has entered into formal agreements with 10 of Australia's leading recruitment agencies for the provision of recruitment services.

The agreements are part of a broader global recruitment re-engineering project, and cover recruitment for admin and clerical support, professional appointments and managerial staff.

The new agreements will result in high standards of service and more favourable commercial terms and conditions for BHP Billiton. The panel comprises:

• Adecco
• Cadden Crowe
• DMW Group
• Downing Teal
• Hays Personnel
• Lyncroft
• Manpower
• TMP Worldwide
• Townsville Personnel
• Wallage Recruitment

It is anticipated that the panel will cover up to 90 per cent of BHP Billiton's Australian needs when engaging a recruitment supplier in the areas of:

• Administrative, clerical and secretarial support.
• Accounting and finance.
• Mining, engineering and construction.
• Other professional and managerial staff.
