A message from BHP

The coronavirus pandemic poses great challenges for our country. But Australians have overcome great challenges before. And we will again, by doing what Australians have always done in tough times; working together, caring for our neighbours, and sharing with those in need.

It’s why BHP is accelerating payments to our existing small business suppliers, hiring 1,500 new workers and committing AUD $50 million to establish the BHP Vital Resources Fund to support the people and communities who’ve always supported us.

Increased workforce support

We are hiring 1,500 new workers to support our people and our business during these difficult times. We’re looking for people with a wide range of skills to fill the following roles: machinery and production operators, truck and ancillary equipment drivers, excavator operators, diesel mechanics boilermakers, trades assistants, electricians (HV and auto), cleaners and warehousing roles.
