Throughout our Australian operations and corporate offices, we have a world of opportunities where your creativity and ambition can have genuine impacts on our business.
We began in Australia with a silver, lead and zinc mine in Broken Hill, New South Wales. Now, 130 years later, with more than 72,000 employees and contractors working across 90 locations worldwide. The iron ore, copper, coal, nickel, oil and gas we produce is used to grow cities all around the world, and our operations support people and communities all across Australia, from the Pilbara to the Bowen Basin, by creating jobs, backing businesses and investing in social programs.
Our Australian Graduate and Intern opportunities for engineering and science will be able to live and experience these thriving local communities through residential or Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) styles of work. Roles with our Technology, Finance and Supply Graduate and Intern programs will support our operations from our city locations but are never far from the action.
This 10-12 week program begins in November for students in their penultimate year. Highly self-driven, you will see out opportunities to showcase your capability. As a successful Intern you will get first access to our Australian Graduate Program opportunities.
Guided by our leaders our 24-month program offers accelerated learning and career path opportunities within one of our commodities working on real projects. Towards the end of the program the choice is yours to stay in the same commodity or find an opportunity elsewhere in BHP to demonstrate all that you have learnt. Our program begins in mid-February.
