Scarborough

BHP holds a 26.5 per cent non-operating interest across the WA-1-L (Scarborough) and WA-62-L (North Scarborough) production licences offshore in Western Australia, alongside Woodside (Operator).

Scarborough at a glance

The proposed offshore development, consists of a number of subsea gas wells, tied back to a semi-submersible floating production unit, with dry gas to be transported via a 435 km export pipeline to LNG and domestic gas processing facilities onshore. In February 2020, BHP progressed the proposed Scarborough upstream development to feasibility study phase, with a final investment decision expected in the second half of the 2021 calendar year.
