The BHP Foundation works to improve long-term economic, social and environmental sustainability at a national level through Country Programs in Australia, Canada, Chile and the United States. These complement the work of the Foundation’s Global Programs. 
In Chile, our focus is on:

• Supporting the inclusions of more disadvantaged and vulnerable young people in education and strengthening their participation in society;
• Enhancing the capability of institutions, organisations and groups to participate in decision-making processes affecting them; and
• Enhancing the resilience of communities in response to rapid socio-economic and environmental changes.
