Chip Goodyear
Chairman
Chip Goodyear was appointed a director of the BHP Foundation in September 2018 and Chairman in January 2019. Chip was Chief Executive Officer of BHP from 2003 until 2007 and, prior to that time, held a number of senior executive roles with BHP, including Chief Financial Officer of BHP (1999 – 2001) and Chief Development Officer (2001 – 2003). Prior to joining BHP, Chip was President of Goodyear Capital Corporation and Executive Vice-President & CFO of Freeport-McMoRan.
Chip currently serves as a member of a number of Boards and Advisory Boards.
Chip also serves on the Board of Trustees of Yale University and is Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the National WWII Museum (US).
Mauro Neves
Director
Mauro Neves de Moraes was appointed as a Director of the BHP Foundation in September 2019. Mauro joined BHP in 2017. As Asset President, Mauro leads the Escondida Leadership Team to maximize the potential of the business by embedding a high performing culture with safety as the first priority.
Prior to BHP, Mauro was Executive Vice President, Commercial & Marketing at Aurizon in Australia. He also spent nine years with Vale in different roles including the Global Director for Coal business.
Mauro currently chairs the boards of FME “Fundación Minera Escondida” and CEIM “Centro Educacional Industrial Minero”.
Vandita Pant
Director
Vandita Pant was appointed as a Director of the BHP Foundation in April 2022. Vandita joined BHP in 2016 and is currently Chief Commercial Officer of BHP based in Singapore, with global accountability for Sales and Marketing, Procurement, Maritime, Global Business Services and for developing the Company’s view on global commodities markets and macro trends.
Over Vandita’s career, she had garnered international experience having worked in a variety of executive roles in banking in India, Singapore, Japan and the U.K. She is currently an executive Committee member for the Australian Japan Business Co-operation Committee and has joined the Resource and environmental sustainability cluster of The Future Economy Council (FEC) which drives the growth and transformation of Singapore’s economy for the future.
Geraldine Slattery
Director
Geraldine Slattery was appointed as a Director of the BHP Foundation in September 2019. Geraldine joined BHP in 1994 and currently leads BHP’s global exploration, development and production operations in Australia, the US, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Canada, and Algeria.
Over Geraldine’s 25 year career with BHP, she has worked in roles of increasing complexity and scale in a global portfolio. Prior to her current appointment which commenced in March 2019, she was Asset President for global production operations. She has also fulfilled key leadership roles in the Onshore US business as General Manager Gas Assets, as Vice President of Supply through a period of significant capital expansion, and a variety of technical, safety and operational roles in BHP’s assets in the UK and in Australia.
Athalie Williams
Athalie Williams fue nombrada Directora de la Fundación BHP en septiembre de 2015. Athalie se unió a BHP en 2007 y fue nombrada para el Equipo de Liderazgo Ejecutivo como Presidenta, Recursos Humanos, en enero de 2015. El cargo de Athalie cambió a Directora de Personal a partir del 1 de julio de 2015. Executive Officer and President
James Ensor
James Ensor was appointed Executive Officer and President of the BHP Foundation in July 2016. James joined BHP in 2014 as Group Senior Manager Social Policy contributing to BHP policy and practice in relation to issues including human rights, Indigenous peoples, anti-corruption and transparency. Prior to joining BHP, James was Policy & Program Director of international development agency Oxfam between 2001 and 2012, and in this role was a member of BHP’s Forum on Corporate Responsibility. Prior to joining Oxfam, James represented the interests of the Aboriginal traditional owners of Australia’s Northern Territory in relation to land claims, community and enterprise development and exploration and mining activity on their lands.
