Right across the Pilbara, our people are bracing for the impacts of Tropical Cyclone (TC) Zelia.
Across Western Australia Iron Ore, our teams have enacted their preparedness plans in the event of severe flooding and destructive winds from (TC) Zelia.
As always, the safety of our employees is the number one priority.
We have stood up an Emergency Management Team (EMT) to monitor and deal with the impacts of TC Zelia.
Incident Management Teams (IMTs) have been set up at a site level to respond to the situation safely and effectively.
The Pilbara Ports Authority has closed the port. All berths and inner anchorages have been cleared.
Our Port-based teams have been asked to remain inside their homes and villages, with all equipment tied down and rail operations suspended.
